Many students go to college unsure of what degree they want to pursue, so don’t worry, you’re not alone! Luckily, you don’t have to declare a major your freshman year, and even if you do, you can change majors if you change your mind later. When you get to campus and start taking classes, talking to your professors, advisors and even other students can often help you decide what degree you would like to pursue. If you’re interested in multiple subjects, you can even add a second major or a minor to your degree.
Yes! There are a variety of ways that you can get involved in research as an undergraduate or graduate student. Every day, our faculty, staff and students in each of our six academic schools are conducting important research in a variety of subjects. From the Rehabilitation Research and Training Center in Oklahoma City to the E. Kika de la Garza American Institute for Goat Research in Langston, there are tons of opportunities for students to get involved with impactful research while pursuing their degrees.
