Langston University Freshmen Scholarships List

All grade point averages (GPA) required are the unweighted, cumulative grade point averages

All Scholarships (unless noted otherwise) are available at langston.awardspring.com 

 

 

Lions’ Scholarship

 

Applicants need a minimum of a 2.5 cumulative, unweighted GPA. Recipients can receive up to a $4,000 value for the first year only. This scholarship cannot be combined with the Bridge, PASS, or Honors Program. 

Deadline: July 1st annually

 

Bridge Scholarship

 

Applicants need a minimum of a 3.0 GPA if coming from out-of-state or a 2.5 GPA for students who live in a state that borders Oklahoma. This scholarship cannot be combined with PASS, Lions’, or Honors Program offers.

HONORS PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIPS

Regents’ Scholarship

 

Applicants need a minimum of a 3.3 GPA and a minimum ACT score of 20  OR a minimum SAT score of 1030. This scholarship covers the cost of room and board in campus housing. This scholarship cannot be combined with the Bridge, Lions’, or PASS scholarships. (Honors Program)

McCabe Scholarship

 

Applicants need a minimum of a 3.5 GPA and a minimum ACT score of 22  OR a minimum SAT score of 1110. This is a full-ride scholarship for up to 18 hours per semester after grant funding is applied.  (Honors Program)

DEPARTMENTAL SCHOLARSHIPS

Various departments offer scholarships for their students, dependent on departmental funding. Some of these departments include Agriculture, Consumer Science, Finance, Accounting, and Broadcast Journalism. These scholarships are typically posted in AwardSpring. To see if your department offers departmental scholarships, please contact your advisor.                                     

Athletics

You can inquire about athletic scholarships by contacting our Langston University coaching staff. You can look up coach contacts on the LU Sports Staff Directory. 

 

 

OTHER SCHOLARSHIPS

USDA 1890

This is a full-ride opportunity for students studying Agriculture-related sciences (computer science, animal science, biology, chemistry, and engineering qualify). Applicants need a minimum of a 3.0 GPA and a 21 or higher on the ACT.
