ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Department of Psychology offers the Bachelor of Arts degree and a minor in Psychology. This program prepares learners for entry-level positions in the behavioral and social sciences, and graduate and/or professional-level study through excellent teaching and research training.
MISSION
The mission of the Psychology program is to prepare students to become psychologically literate citizens, ethical professionals and leaders in a dynamic society.
VISION
The Department of Psychology provides a sound foundation for scholarly pursuits and enhancement of knowledge, dispositions and skills for professional development.
DEPARTMENT PROGRAM OUTCOMES
- Provide a sound academic and intellectual foundation that reflects the application of content in a diverse society.
- Demonstrate leadership skills through academic inquiry, ethical, and professional practices and lifelong learning experiences.
- Prepare students for graduate and professional studies, and career choices in behavioral, social and STEM-related organizations.
