Cooperative Extension and Outreach Programs and Clusters

Impactful programming is offered through Langston University’s Cooperative Extension and Outreach. As a core mandate, Langston University Land-Grant programs support Oklahomans and work specifically to positively impact the lives of limited-resource people and communities throughout the state. Throughout Oklahoma counties, individuals, small businesses and organizations benefit from these programs which fall under four clusters or categories.

The Sherman Lewis School of Agriculture and Applied Sciences (SL/SAAS) collaborates with Oklahoma State University (1862) and local Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) in a concerted effort to meet the needs of communities throughout the state. SL/SAAS also works closely with Oklahoma’s 1994 Land-Grant institution, i.e., the College of Muscogee Nation in Okmulgee. This focus helps ensure that through the effort of all three Land-Grant institutions, there are equitable opportunities for all Oklahomans, no matter their socioeconomic status, ethnicity, financial resources, community location, or scale of production.

Langston University Cooperative Extension and Outreach Programs continue to evolve through four program clusters. Our commitment is to build a strong and sustainable CEOP with a team of energetic, self-motivated individuals committed to engaging with our diverse stakeholder base.
