DEPARTMENT OF TECHNOLOGY

Welcome to the Department of Technology at Langston University, where we award degrees in technology and technology education. Earning a Technology degree from Langston University provides students with an important theoretical foundation coupled with extensive hands-on laboratory and project experiences. We are dedicated to providing a challenging and nurturing environment for our students. Graduates of our programs can find jobs in a wide range of companies and government agencies. We also prepare our students to seek advanced, post-graduate degrees in a variety of disciplines.

Goals

The Department of Technology has three specific goals for students in our programs:

  1. Develop a high level of skill and technical competency in an area of specialization;
  2. Develop managerial and supervisory skills for use in a highly technological society; and
  3. Develop a broad technical background necessary for adaptation to, and advancement in, a large number of industries and government.

Degree Options & Study Plans

The Department of Technology offers a Bachelor of Science in Technology with three study plan options. We also offer an Associate of Science in Technology with two study plan options.
Technology | Electronics

Langston Campus, Bachelor of Sciences

Earning a Technology degree from Langston University provides students with an important theoretical foundation coupled with extensive hands-on laboratory and project experiences. Graduates of Langston’s Technology program find jobs in a wide range of high-paying career as an electronics manufacturing technician, electronics drafters, electronics engineering technicians, and much more.

Bachelor of Science, Electronics Technology Option

Technology | Computer Aid Drafting Design

Langston Campus, Bachelor of Sciences

Earning a Technology degree from Langston University provides students with an important theoretical foundation coupled with extensive hands-on laboratory and project experiences. Graduates of Langston’s Computer Aid Drafting Design program find jobs in a wide range of high-paying career fields such as engineering, architecture, mechanical and civil drafting and much more.

Technology | Construction

Langston Campus, Bachelor of Sciences

Earning a Technology degree from Langston University provides students with an important theoretical foundation coupled with extensive hands-on laboratory and project experiences. Graduates of Langston’s Construction program find jobs in a wide range of high-paying career fields as construction managers, contractors, estimators, building planner and much more.
