Welcome to the Department of Engineering Technology at Langston University, where we award degrees in technology and technology education. Earning an Engineering Technology degree from Langston University provides students with an important theoretical foundation coupled with extensive hands-on laboratory and project experiences. We are dedicated to providing a challenging and nurturing environment for our students. Graduates of our programs can find jobs in a wide range of companies and government agencies. We also prepare our students to seek advanced, post-graduate degrees in a variety of disciplines.
Goals
The Department of Technology has three specific goals for students in our programs:
- Develop a high level of skill and technical competency in an area of specialization;
- Develop managerial and supervisory skills for use in a highly technological society; and
- Develop a broad technical background necessary for adaptation to, and advancement in, a large number of industries and government.
