Welcome to the School of Physical Therapy, where we cultivate the next generation of doctors of physical therapy who examine, diagnose, and treat movement dysfunctions. Our Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program is the oldest and most esteemed program in Oklahoma. The administration, faculty, and staff have a proud tradition of offering high-quality education to prepare future physical therapists, leaders, educators, and scholars.

The mission of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program is to educate and graduate individuals who possess the necessary academic and clinical skills to serve as clinician generalists in primary care physical therapy in either rural or urban settings. The graduate of the program will possess the essential skills necessary to work with underserved populations addressing minority health and minority health disparity issues within the scope of practice of physical therapy. The graduate of the program will be proficient at applying the Guide to Physical Therapist Practice for clinical decision-making.
To change the landscape of healthcare in Oklahoma so that prevention, health promotion, fitness and wellness eliminate injury, illness, and disability through education and state-of-the-art physical therapy practice.
