Career and Professional Development
The Office of Career and Professional Development dedicates its time to educating, advising and connecting our students to undergraduate and post-graduation career and professional development experiences. Our office is here to assist current and former students as they identify, explore, select and enter into career programs, experiential learning opportunities, and full-time employment. In addition to providing individualized counseling, the Office of Career and Professional Development also organizes campus-wide recruitment events, career development seminars, and professional development workshops. Our office also offers various resources to support students and provide assistance with resume preparation, professional communications and writing skills, interviewing and networking skills, professional dress and etiquette training, and job and internship placement.
Each fall and spring semester, the Office of Career and Professional Development hosts a career fair. This is an opportunity for local and national companies, agencies, and academic institutions to interact directly with our students and share information about employment, internship, and learning opportunities available within their respective businesses and organizations. It is also an opportunity for students to develop and hone their professional skills and to connect with prospective employers and leaders in their respective fields of study or desired career paths. Students are strongly encouraged to participate in the career fairs, as well as, the workshops and seminars offered each semester through the Office of Career and Professional Development which prepares students for the career fair.
