Welcome to the department of Information Technology Services (ITS). The ITS department is the technological epicenter of the University, providing services to both its staff and students. Our purpose is to deliver those key systems, products and services to support and enhance instruction, research, and administration at Langston University.We bring our clients secure and ready access to vital information, everywhere from labs and offices, to classrooms and student residences. We provide hiqh-quality support services that enable students, faculty, and staff to take maximum advantage of an innovative technology-inspired environment. We develop standards, policies, and systems that safeguard LU’s information assets, and we track and harness emerging technologies to benefit the University. ITS is responding aggressively to the University’s ever-growing demand for cost-effective delivery of information technology services. We are also exploring avenues to deliver services to heightened expectations of “anywhere/anytime” access to new and expanded essence, we keep you connected, both here and abroad, creating and facilitating the technology-forward environment that you have come to experience and expect.
The Langston University ITS Help Desk is the primary hub for all Staff and Student technological needs. From maintaining office and residence internet connectivity, to software and hardware updating, to computer troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair, the Help Desk keeps you covered and productive. The following are just a few of our offered services:
- Free PC Diagnostics
- Campus Software Installation
- Client Imaging and Server/Client deployments
- Campus Network login maintenance/assistance
We also offer a Resource Center that allows faculty, staff, and student organizations to check out screens and projectors; and assists with the configuration of personal student wireless routers.
