DESCRIPTION:Langston University invites individuals to a Memorial Day Observance and Celebration at Wm Conrad Veterans Memorial Gardens on Monday\, May 26! The festivities will begin at 10 a.m. and the program will start promptly at 11 a.m. in the Gardens\, located at 313 East Turner Street in Langston\, Oklahoma. \nThis year’s keynote speaker is a man of national rank and status who has served our Nation in an exemplary manner: Rev. Dr. Clifford L. Stanley. Help greet him with great enthusiasm as we “Honor and Remember” — those who gave their last full measure of devotion. \nIf you’re unable to join in person\, please consider joining the Facebook Livestream on the Wm Conrad Veterans Memorial Gardens Facebook page. Streaming will begin at 11 a.m. \nFollowing the program\, everyone is invited to stay for a community picnic and fellowship at the Gardens. \nFor additional Memorial Day Programming information\, please email wmconradveteransmemorialgarden@gmail.com.

The theme this year is “A Legacy of Loyalty and Service – It’s a Family Affair.” The event will take place at Wm Conrad Veterans Memorial Gardens\, 313 East Turner Street in Langston\, OK 73050. \nThe town of Langston has a weekend of Veterans Day Observance and Appreciation activities scheduled November 9 – 11. \nAll veterans and the general public are invited to attend the following events: \n\nFred Gragg Veterans Appreciation Luncheon on November 9\, 2024 at 11:00 am at the LU Wesley Foundation Center\, 777 Sammy Davis Jr. Drive\n11th Annual Veterans Appreciation Worship Service on November 10\, 2024 at 11:00 am at New Hope Baptist Church\, 222 Hale Street.
