GRAMMY AWARD WINNING ARTIST, REGINA BELLE, TO PERFORM AT LANGSTON UNIVERSITY’S 12TH ANNUAL PRESIDENT'S SCHOLARSHIP GALA

Langston University (LU) will host its 12th Annual President's Scholarship Gala on Fri., Oct. 20, 2017. This annual fundraising event is designed to raise valuable scholarship dollars to provide financial assistance for our students. The gala, set to begin at 7:00 p.m., will be at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Each year, the funds raised at this event makes a vital difference in the lives of our students. This year's gala will feature special guest performances by Grammy Award Winning Artist, Regina Belle. Members of the media are welcome to attend this special event.

We are excited to announce that we will be honoring two outstanding supporters of Langston University at this year’s gala. We will be recognizing the Jeltz Foundation for their commitment to providing student scholarships. We are also honoring the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF). TMCF is not only the nation’s largest organization exclusively representing the Black College Community, but they are also a huge supporter of LU. Guests will enjoy a full night of entertainment including dinner, live music, a spirited auction, and hear impactful stories from students. There will be a photo booth available in the lobby from 6:00-10:00 p.m. to capture this special evening.

WHEN: 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2017

WHAT: The 12th Annual President's Scholarship Gala to support student scholarships. With reduced state allocations to education, gifts from individuals, alumni and corporations are crucial in supporting student scholarships for our students. Because of your support, students will have the resources to become the next generation leaders in our communities. The funds generated will directly benefit the LU students by providing need and merit-based scholarships.
